CRDF Global Applauds Milestone Publication of Comprehensive Manual on Export Control and Nonproliferation in Armenia

CRDF Global is proud to announce the successful completion of a significant initiative by the Center for Private Law Foundation, funded by the EXBS Program of the U.S.  Department of State. This grant enabled the development and publication of a comprehensive manual aimed at bolstering nonproliferation norms and improving the  export control system in the Republic of Armenia.

The manual, developed through stakeholder consultations, provides a detailed overview of international nonproliferation norms, best practices, Armenia’s export control system, existing legal frameworks, and actionable recommendations for enhancement. The objectives of this manual were to:

1. Identify legislative gaps and areas for improvement.
2. Conduct stakeholder consultations to gather diverse perspectives on enforcement practices.
3. Provide guidance on introducing internal compliance programs (ICPs) for companies and research institutions.

This initiative is part of a broader EXBS Program and CRDF Global effort to support local organizations and individuals in leveraging open-source tools to produce research, analysis, and compliance tools related to the practical implementation of export controls, sanctions, and other international  nonproliferation mechanisms.

We commend the Center for Private Law Foundation for their dedication and hard work in developing this essential resource. This manual will play a crucial role in  strengthening Armenia’s commitment to nonproliferation and enhancing its export control system.
