In late September 2025, CRDF Global conducted a two-day judicial sector Tabletop Exercise (TTX) in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together representatives from the judiciary, prosecution and law enforcement institutions to strengthen their capacity to address cyber-enabled crimes and manage digital evidence.

The exercise encouraged scenario-based discussions on judicial priorities, institutional gaps and practical challenges in handling cybercrime cases. The exercise allowed participants to analyze current cyber challenges from managing ransomware cases to improving digital evidence handling and understanding how AI-generated materials could impact court proceedings.

The dialogue fostered trust, refined institutional roles, and produced actionable recommendations focused on capacity building, cybersecurity awareness, and legal reform aligned with EU standards. The outcomes will also serve as a foundation for shaping future programming in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s judicial sector.

This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening Bosnia and Herzegovina’s judicial resilience, promoting good governance and advancing readiness against evolving cyber threats.

The event was hosted by CRDF Global with the financial and strategic support of the U.S. Department of State.
