International Day of Women and Girls in Science w/ Dr. Marilyn Pifer
One of CRDF Global’s very own, Dr. Marilyn Pifer, sits down with Robert “Nick” King to discuss women in science on the first ever UN Day of Women and Girls in Science
For those who may not know, February 11th is first EVER International Day of Women and Girls in Science!
One of the things that motivates all of the work that we do at CRDF Global is knowledge there are amazing scientists and innovators all over the world, and that no matter where they are, if given the opportunity, they can become important contributors to the global scientific community.
So, on this inaugural International Day of Women and Girls in Science, I had the pleasure of speaking with my distinguished colleague, Dr. Marilyn Pifer, CRDF Global’s Director of Capacity Building Programs, to discuss the challenges that women face around the world in science, how they can be addressed, and what can be done to ensure that they are afforded the same opportunities as their male colleagues.
