CRDF Global Organizes Regional Cyber Resilience Forum: Lviv 2024
The Regional Cyber Resilience Forum: Lviv 2024 was held on July 24th-25th as part of the second phase of the Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2024, making it the largest cybersecurity event at the local level. Organized by CRDF Global, the two-day event brought together a diverse group of participants from government, private sector, academia, embassies, and international donor communities. High-profile attendees included Serhii Demediuk, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Yurii Myronenko, Head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP) of Ukraine, and other key players in the domain.
The first day drew around 300 participants, with 170 online and 130 in person, featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions on topics such as the cyber resilience of critical infrastructure, countering Russian disinformation in the energy sector, and hybrid threats from Russian aggression. The second day, attended by about 50 offline participants, focused on practical workshops led by cybersecurity experts. These sessions provided tabletop exercises and collaborative opportunities to develop actionable strategies to enhance cyber resilience regionally and globally.
The forum served as a crucial platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and partnership development, significantly impacting the region’s cybersecurity landscape. Organized by NCSCC under NSDC and CRDF Global, with support from the U.S. Department of State, the event was held in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, Lviv Regional State Administration, and Lviv State University of Life Safety. Partners included the Cyber Warfare Research Institute, CyberLab, and Parkovy Data Center.
