CRDF Global Supports Launch of Cybersecurity Training & Operations Center for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine

CRDF Global in Ukraine continues to actively support and contribute to strengthening the cybersecurity of Ukraine’s state institutions, with a focus on developing and enhancing the nation’s capabilities in the field of cybersecurity.

With the support of CRDF Global and financial and strategic assistance from a grant program at the U.S. Department of State, the Cybersecurity Training and Operations Center for Critical Infrastructure has been established at the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The primary goal is to develop a reliable, comprehensive, and modern infrastructure that will facilitate the effective training of highly qualified specialists. This will not only enhance cybersecurity at the state level but also strengthen the country’s overall resilience to current challenges in the areas of national, economic, and information security.

Mykhailo Verych, Regional Director of CRDF Global in Ukraine, emphasized that supporting the Ukrainian cyber community and improving the training of future cybersecurity specialists are key priorities of their work, saying “We are pleased to contribute to the development of top cybersecurity professionals who will ensure the safety of our country.”

“This is an important step towards improving the quality of education for our students. Our young people will be able to acquire practical skills in managing a cybersecurity operations center for critical infrastructure,” said Andrii Cherniak, Rector of the SSU Academy.

Mykhailo Verych and Andrii Cherniak also discussed potential partnership initiatives at the Academy, including the organization of international educational and scientific events in the field of cybersecurity.
