Overview
CRDF Global, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction (ISN/CTR), is pleased to announce an opportunity for Ukrainian scientists, technicians, and engineers (STEs) to support their attendance and presentation of their research at national and international conferences. Travel support of up to $2,500 is available for approved applications. The application period covers travel occurring between July 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.Â

Grant procedure:Â
- Submit the application.Â
- Please review the eligibility criteria and requirements below before submitting the application package.Â
- We recommend submitting your application at least 65 days before the conference start date.Â
- Successful applications must have a clearly defined purpose including justification and benefits for the applicant’s progression in scientific research and/or career development, as well as an explanation of the networking opportunities with U.S. researchers and other relevant industries and institutes at the proposed conference.Â
- Please ensure you have received a confirmation of application receipt.

- Evaluation.Â
- Following the application evaluation, the applicant will receive an email with the official Grant Committee decision. Â
- Please note that the award will only support conference travel. Â
Â
- Grant implementation.
- Approved applicants will be contacted by CRDF Global to sign the Grant Agreement. Â
- CRDF Global will pay all expenses directly to the conference organizers and makes reservations for flights, transfers, and hotels.Â
- Reporting.
- The grantee will provide a final report to CRDF Global.Â
Eligibility
- Applicants must be Ukrainian nationals.Â
- Applicants must hold a PhD at the time of application submission.Â
- Applicants must have experience within the fields of aeronautics, artificial intelligence, materials science, nuclear science, or quantum. Â
- The focus of research to be presented must be civilian in nature. Â
