Cyber Exercises and Experiential Education (CE3) held in Buenos Aires to Advance Regional Cyber Resilience

CRDF Global Speaker on stage

On July 23, 2026 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, CRDF Global delivered the Cyber Exercises and Experiential Education (CE3) event at the premises of the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology of the Argentine Republic.

This initiative was conducted with the support of the United States Government and facilitated by SANS Institute expert Mr. Kevin Garvey. Utilizing the Cyber42 simulation framework from SANS Institute, 28 participants from Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay worked together in cross-functional teams to navigate the complexities of realistic cyber incident scenarios.

The program reflects the United States Government’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity cooperation, strengthening partner capacity, and supporting a more secure and resilient digital landscape.

Throughout the exercise, participants practiced strategic decision-making under pressure, coordinated responses across sectors, and refined crisis communication approaches. The simulation emphasized how shared understanding and collaboration among different stakeholders are essential to crafting an effective response.

CE3 brought together professionals from diverse organizations, creating a meaningful space for dialogue, peer learning, and the exchange of perspectives.

CRDF Global extends its sincere appreciation to all partners and participants whose contributions and active engagement made this event a success, especially Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology of the Argentine Republic, National Cybersecurity Center (CNC), SANS Institute, and the Center for High Technology Training for Latin America and the Caribbean (CCAT LAT).
