CRDF Global Welcomes Andrew Parsons as Associate Director for Science Engagement, Announces Other Hires and Promotions
CRDF Global announced today that Andrew Parsons has been named Associate Director of for Science Engagement to help the organization lead its efforts in international science engagement and global biosecurity. Parsons comes to CRDF Global with a wealth of international science experience, including 15 years of laboratory and field experience in academic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories, and experience in level III biological agent training. The addition of Parsons enables CRDF Global to ever further expand its extensive work in biosecurity and safety.
Parsons will also be team lead for the organization’s biosecurity engagement work in Central and South America, Saharan and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia. He will work closely with the United States Department of State and other organizations that help fund CRDF Global’s work around the world. “I am excited to join such a great organization with such an amazing mission, and I know that my talents will be put to good use,” Parsons said.

As we continue to experience the growth of our global biosecurity programs, Andrew’s experience and knowledge will be instrumental. He possesses an impressive and sought-after skill set, including logistics and international program management, teaching, mentoring, and laboratory research,” said Starling.
CRDF Global also announced the hiring of Doug White as Senior Proposal Manager. Doug, who brings more than 10 years of grant writing experience for the USAID, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the World Bank, will take a lead role in the coordination and oversight of CRDF Global’s bid and proposal process. “We are very happy to have Doug join our team,” said Eldar Immanverdiyev, Associate Director of Business Development. “Throughout his career, Doug has proven to be exceedingly professional and passionate about his work. We are more than confident he can bring the same drive and enthusiasm to our team,” said Immanverdiyev.
