TechCrunch names UATAG as a Top Pick at Disrupt SF

UATAG, a Ukrainian-based startup developing innovative anti-counterfeiting technology, was recognized as a Top 50 entrant overall and a Top 3 entrant for the “Privacy and Security” category at TechChrunch’s renown startup event, Disrupt SF.
The company’s inventive anti-counterfeiting technology is designed to protect the global market from forgery and counterfeit, particularly in the area of high-end products. These products include, but are not limited to, works of art in museums, luxury clothing and footwear, and valuable medical equipment.

UATAG’s journey with CRDF Global first began in 2017, when CRDF Global invited Ukrainian technology entrepreneurs and innovators to participate in an online training and competition for its annual Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP). UATAG was selected as a finalist in the STEP program and later that spring was awarded CRDF Global’s “Go-to-Market” award for its originality, business model, and evidence of market demand. Through this award, UATAG received personalized mentorship, a business development grant, and linkages to potential partners and investors.
UATAG recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine to, first, provide 50,000 free trial samples of tags to conduct prototype testing on various museum exhibits. The trial is expected to yield an additional 50,000 orders from the museum after the trial period has proved successful.
