Senior Technical Advisor, Security Assistance
Believing that powerful insights exist at the intersections of seemingly disparate fields, Ben leverages previous careers in the U.S. Departments of State (ISN/ECC) and Defense (OSD-CAPE) and over a decade of research in the physical and biological sciences. Ben has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and is a former AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow. As a part of CRDF Global’s Security Assistance Team, Ben supports the technical delivery and modernization of capacity building programming with a focus on emerging technology and trends. Ben is also the technical lead for CRDF Global’s emerging programming to mitigate the harms of climate change and has a particular interest in the application of nonproliferation policy tools to the proliferation of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions.
